MONTHLY RAINFALL & TEMPERATURE FORECAST

FOR BELIZE (MAY 2017)

Several agro-meteorological stations across the country were used to make the rainfall and temperature forecast for the month of  May 2017. This was done by using the data set for the period January 1981 to March 2017, along with Global models, Observations, Climate Predictability Tool (CPT) and Subjective input. Based on these inputs, the Rainfall Forecast for the country for the month of May 2017  is for near normal rainfall over northern and central areas and for above normal rainfall in the south.

The forecast is for Above Normal Average Temperatures to prevail over Belize and her coastal waters for the month of  May 2017.
